NHS Dentistry

All NHS dental procedures are priced in one of four bands.

Pricing Bands

If your treatment plan requires therapy from more than one band, you will only be charged for the highest band treatment. You will not be charged separately for each treatment.

Band 1: £23.80

Band 1 covers a dental examination, diagnosis and advice. If needed by the patient, it also includes dental X-rays, dental hygiene, dental scaling and polish and planning for additional treatment.

Band 2: £65.20

Band 2 covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus supplementary treatment, such as tooth fillings, root canal treatment and dental extractions (removing teeth).

Band 3: £282.80

Band 3 covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus additional complex procedures, such as dental crowns, dentures and dental bridges.

Band 4: £23.80

Band 4 covers emergency dental treatments.
